The fifth largest Bitcoin whale moved $6 billion worth of Bitcoin to three new addresses over the weekend.
According to on-chain analysis account Arkham Intelligence data, an enigmatic Bitcoin whale that has not moved since 2019 transferred 94,500 BTC worth of $6 billion to three new addresses over the weekend.
Only 1.4 Bitcoin worth $99,000 remains in the wallet in question.
The whale initially split the Bitcoins into two amounts in two different wallets. Then, a portion was moved to a new wallet. The remaining amounts were then moved to two more wallets. Currently, the funds are in three wallets, with the largest wallet containing $5 billion worth of Bitcoin.
In general, large Bitcoin wallets are associated with exchanges, but because there is no interaction with the aforementioned address, it is unknown who it belongs to.
The significant Bitcoin transfer is the most notable transaction recently made.
According to CoinGecko data, Bitcoin is currently trading at $70,664.
